kznlogo thumb100 SABC News reports that an agreement between the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Transport Department and two taxi organisation has seen the resumption of taxi operations in the province.  

The department, Santaco and the KwaZulu-Natal Taxi Alliance agreed on Wednesday night to resume operations and release over 200 taxis that had been impounded for operating without valid permits.  Yet it was clear that the agreement was reached late into the night as there are few taxis operating on Thursday morning, still leaving commuters on the receiving end of this dispute.
