northwestuniversityEWN reports that the North West University says although it has to embark on a restructuring programme that will eventually see a number of job losses, it will try everything possible to avoid job cuts.

The university has informed staff at all three of its campuses about the new programme which will see a reduction in posts, but it says it is not yet clear how many positions will be affected.  University spokesperson Louis Jacobs said:  “In this whole restructuring process there will not be any more campus rectors, for instance.  Everything that happens will go from a campus level where we will have the deans, through to our deputy vice chancellor and then the vice chancellor.”
