graduate thumb100 TimesLive writes that no matter what you studied or how well you did in your course, if you are black you have less chance of finding a job after graduating from Rhodes University.  

This was one of the findings of a study by Rhodes University researcher Michael Rogan.  "It is quite disappointing that socioeconomic factors such as race, gender and poor schooling contributed more to employability than [academic] achievement," said Rogan.  About 30% of Rhodes graduates were able to use personal contacts and social and other networks to find work.
