solidariteitNews24 reports that trade union Solidarity and civil rights organisation AfriForum will on Tuesday announce legal action to be instituted against quotas in sport.  

This comes after Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula announced that Athletics South Africa (ASA), Cricket South Africa (CSA), Netball South Africa (NSA) and the South African Rugby Union (SARU) would be suspended from bidding for, or hosting, major international events as they had not met their transformation targets.  Mbalula made the announcement during the release of the report of the Eminent Persons Group on Transformation in Sport'.
