handcuffsANA reports that a 35-year-old man who allegedly shot two security guards in Orkney near Klerksdorp was expected to appear in court on Monday, North West police advised.  

The suspect's appearance in court follows his apprehension by the Klerksdorp Task Team on 16 June 2016 at shaft No 6 in Orkney near Klerksdorp.  According to information, he shot two security officials who were on duty at No. 2 shaft, Orkney, in August 2015.  One of the security officials died instantly while the other had to be hospitalised.  The security officials' firearms were robbed during the incident.  The man has also been linked to a case of pointing of a firearm in Orkney that occurred at shaft No 2 earlier this month.  He is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, pointing of a firearm and robbery.
