eskomNews24 reports that power utility Eskom has announced a man fell to his death at Medupi power station in Lephalale, Limpopo, on Tuesday morning.  

The contractor fell while he was working in a construction area at the power station.  His identity has not yet been disclosed and investigations are underway to determine what happened.  Construction work in the area has been stopped.  Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said standard procedure was to send the workers home to ensure their safety and to let the investigation continue undisturbed.  The accident is not expected to have an effect on power supply.
