postoffice thumb100 Business Report writes that ongoing labour issues between the SA Post Office (Sapo) and the Communication Workers Union (CWU) have come to an end following them agreeing on a number of outstanding issues.

The CWU is the parastatal’s largest union.  General secretary Aubrey Tshabalala said on Tuesday that much progress had been made.  This included that back payments from 2014 would be paid in August as well as an increase of 6.5% on salaries.  Also, 900 casual employees would be made permanent next month, which effectively means that there will be no casual Sapo workers by 1 August this year.
