ems joburgEWN reports that Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) confirmed that six of its paramedics were robbed at gunpoint while attending to a stabbing in Jeppestown on Sunday.  

The six paramedics were working in two separate vehicles when they were ambushed by two gunmen.  EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said:  "The two armed men came from nowhere while the paramedics were treating a patient.  They demanded their belongings like wallets and cellphones and also took medical drugs and a two-way radio."  The paramedics were not harmed in the incident.
