metrorail thumb medium90 92EWN reports that Metrorail officials will on Friday receive a report on the extent of the damage caused to infrastructure during protests in Langa.

Central train services remain suspended due to the violent protests that erupted in the area.  The rail agency's Riana Scott said:  "We know from history, given the extent of damage, we expect a full service could take weeks to materialise.  At least we will know the extent of the damage and how soon a partial service is possible.  The stations remain closed until further notice."
