newsBDLive reports that former SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng upset mourners when he took to the podium at kwaito star Mandoza’s funeral to push his own agenda and lambast his critics.

Given the opportunity to pay tribute at Mandoza’s funeral at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto, he spoke as if he was addressing an SABC press conference.  The funeral programme director tried to cut him short, but Motsoeneng asked for more time, saying "this is what 90% local content is about".  Motsoeneng went on to say that this was not the first time he had been dismissed at the SABC, and he had "come back stronger."  Motsoeneng concluded his "speech" by urging everyone to pay their TV licences.
