phiyegaTimesLive reports that suspended national police commissioner Riah Phiyega has expressed frustration with the pace of the board inquiry probing her fitness to hold office.

The Claassen board of inquiry concluded hearings on 3 June.  But, it missed its August deadline to submit its final report to President Jacob Zuma, blaming the delay on chairman Neels Claassen's health.  But Phiyega accused the board of using the chairman's health as a "blanket excuse".  The inquiry stems from the judicial commission of inquiry into the 16 August 2012 Marikana massacre.
