SANParksEWN reports that according to SA National Parks (SANParks), people can start booking their 2018 holidays from Tuesday despite the ongoing strike.

A number of SANParks employees have been on strike for some two weeks over salaries, which led to a temporary postponement of the bookings process for next year’s winter holidays.  Most workers have accepted a 7.1% salary increase, however, employees affiliated to the Health and Other Service Personnel Trade Union of South Africa (Hospersa) have rejected the offer.  SANParks’ Janine Raftopoulos said that, while there were just over 200 employees still on strike across the country, the parks were fully operational.
