Press Statement dated 12 October 2017

On Tuesday 17 October 2017, the CCMA Director, Mr. Cameron Morajane, will be briefing stakeholders on the CCMA 2016/17 Annual Performance. The CCMA achieved a 15% performance increase compared to the previous financial year’s 76%, despite the increase in the caseload.

It is also encouraging to note the 52% job saving, on the 48 448 jobs at stake, employees facing retrenchments as per cases referred to the CCMA nationally in terms of section 189A of the Labour Relations Act.

Mr. Morajane will share more on the 2016/17 Annual Report achievements, challenges and plans of the CCMA.
