The Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) has welcomed the decision by the ANC to recall President Jacob Zuma but want him to resign immediately. On Monday defied President Zuma an order of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) NEC.

He said there was still room for negotiations with Zuma although the decision of ANC is final and cannot be change. He said the decision was not unanimous but the decision was binding on all members of the NEC.

A formal letter of recall will be delivered to Zuma and he is expected to respond to the decision of the NEC tomorrow although there is no set deadline on when Zuma should go. ANC will not support a motion of no confidence.

President Zuma has not been found guilty by any court of law the NEC decided in terms of the Constitution of the ANC which prescribes that the President of the party should also be president of the country. There are no two centres of power. The centre of power is the ANC.

SONA will be addressed by Ramaphosa there is no question about it. The NEC of the ANC has not yet decided who will be Ramaphosa’s Deputy.
