phiyegaTMG Digital reports that the public hearing into the fitness of suspended National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega to hold office was adjourned on Friday after two witnesses gave evidence for the evidence leaders.  

The defence did not present any witnesses.  The inquiry‚ headed by Judge Neels Claassen‚ was established by President Jacob Zuma last year following recommendations by Judge Ian Farlam in the Marikana report.  The inquiry began proceedings on Tuesday.  Both sides will make oral arguments over three days from 1 June.
