EWN and ANN7 report that emergency services in Limpopo on Tuesday treated 25 people who came into contact with formaldehyde gas at a manufacturing company in Polokwane.
A container apparently leaked during the evening, causing the incident. The victims inhaled the colourless gas that is used for building materials and household products. The incident happened around 8am and a number of people experienced breathing difficulties. They were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
