TMG Digital reports that a chief director in the Department of Health, who lied about her qualifications and experience, has been fired.
Nonkqubela Kula, a chief director of priority health programmes, was dismissed last week after an internal disciplinary hearing recommended she be shown the door for her inappropriate actions. The internal hearing came shortly after a forensic investigation into her November 2014 appointment revealed that her hiring was "inappropriate", as she has been found to have lied about her qualifications and work experience. Yet, the process is not yet complete because Kula still has a right to appeal the implementation of the dismissal recommendation. However, it is understood Kula has not been at work since she was served with a dismissal letter early last week.
