SABC News reports that the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) says plans for a taxi strike are going ahead.
This comes after talks between Santaco and the Gauteng Provincial Government, which were aimed at tackling a number of issues affecting the taxi industry, failed to materialise on Wednesday. The secretary-general of Santaco Gauteng, Ralph Jones, said the strike was likely to be held at the end of June.
