Reuters reports that the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has rejected an increased wage offer by power utility Eskom, a union official said on Tuesday.  

"Our members have put it categorically clear that they will not accept a 7 percent increase," Paris Mashego, energy coordinator at the NUM told Reuters.  He cited Eskom profitability and executive bonus payouts.
