strike thumb medium85 85Business Report writes that the National Petroleum Employers’ Association (NPEA), said on Monday that the wage strike by the Chemical Energy Paper Printing Wood and Allied Workers' Union (Ceppwawu) was not coming to an end any time soon.

The parties failed to reach an agreement at a meeting held on Monday.  NPEA deputy chairman Zimisele Majamane said they “cannot afford anything more than what is on the table” and that the NPEA was now focusing on making sure that there was enough fuel for deliveries.  Ceppwawu went on strike on 28 July after a deadlock in wage increase negotiations with NPEA.
