SABC News reports that the Limpopo Education Department says it is addressing the matter regarding 23 teachers who have boycotted classes for three weeks at Ntjie Mothapo Primary School outside Polokwane.
The teachers are allegedly refusing to teach in front of cameras installed in all classrooms, however, the education department says this is a security measure. Provincial education spokesperson Naledzani Rasila said they were surprised by the teachers' actions as there was an agreement to install the cameras, but the matter was being interrogated “to find out exactly why the teachers are refusing to work.”
