MyBroadband reports that Telkom has increased its reward to R1 million for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of saboteurs targeting the telecom’s facilities and its infrastructure around the country.
“Since the commencement of the strike by members of the CWU (Communication Workers Union) almost five weeks ago, Telkom has experienced an increase in acts of sabotage on its network, especially in Gauteng, Limpopo, and the KZN province,” said Telkom. A number of investigations have been launched into the acts of sabotage. Telkom expects to be able to announce a number of arrests shortly.
