telkom thumb100 MyBroadband reports that Telkom CEO Sipho Maseko has written to striking workers inviting them to return to work, after which the company will immediately begin process any payments due to them.  

In a letter dated 28 August 2016, Maseko extended the following voluntary offer:  “Any employee (striker) affected by the “no work no pay” principle may return to work.  On their return, the company will immediately start to process payments due to the employee for the month of August, for which payment will be made on or before 7 September.”  He also indicated that Telkom had met with the CWU at the CCMA where no settlement was reached and expressed the hope that the union would reconsider its position.
