ANA reports that an Ekurhuleni disaster and emergency management services (EMS) fire engine was set alight by community members in Moleleki section Katlehong on Sunday morning.  The fire crew was responding to a shack fire.  

Members of the public confronted them with stones and rocks, breaking all the windows and forcing the crew to abandon the vehicle as they literally ran away for their lives.  Apparently the reason for this action was to prevent the firefighters from extinguishing the burning shack, as it was alleged that the owner was the perpetrator of a crime.
