EWN reports that KwaZulu-Natal police are investigating the cause of an accident involving a goods train that has left two people dead in Hillcrest.
Paramedics arrived on the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning, to find the driver and his conductor under the wreckage following a derailment. The man and woman were both declared dead soon afterwards. Police believe the crash may have been caused by heavy rain on Saturday night, which caused a landslide which, in turn, is believed to have caused the train to leave the tracks.
