newsNews24 reports that the Nquthu teacher who allegedly filmed himself having sex with his pupils will undergo an HIV test, the KwaZulu-Natal education department said on Monday.

His alleged victims would also be tested and put on ARVs, spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi said.  “We want early detection so that there can be early intervention.  We are in possession of three videos with three different victims,” Mahlambi indicated.  Video footage allegedly showed the teacher having unprotected sex with three of his victims.  The teacher has been charged with two counts of sexual grooming, two of rape, and one of sexual assault.  He appeared in the Nongoma Magistrate’s Court last Tuesday and the case was postponed to 29 September.  He was released on bail of R1,000.
