EWN reports that Metrorail has asked Western Cape commuters to make alternative transport arrangements on Sunday as all train services have been suspended.
On Saturday, the service suffered heavy delays after vandals damaged a large part of Metrorail’s infrastructure. Trains will not run on Sunday in the interest of passenger safety and security and to allow technicians to perform the necessary repairs. Metrorail's Riana Scott said: “We are working hard to have it done by tomorrow morning so that we can have a normal peak hour service.”
