newsEWN reports that rescue teams were expected back on the scene on Tuesday morning where a five-year-old boy fell into a disused mine shaft in Boksburg.  The little boy has been trapped since Saturday.

The search operation was called off on Monday night after rescue workers experienced difficulty breathing underground.  The mother of the boy was unable to speak to the media.  Residents were unhappy when the mission was called off and sang and chanted showing their dissatisfaction.  Some community members said that for years they have been calling on authorities to seal the shaft.  Residents are expected to gather in their hundreds again when the rescue mission resumes.
