ANA reports that a man was shot dead by a security guard following an argument at a tissue factory in the Willowton industrial area in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.  

The 39-year-old factory worker and the security guard became embroiled in an argument.  The victim allegedly attempted to stab the security guard, who then shot and killed the victim.  The guard’s weapon was seized and he is expected to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
