EWN reports that a farm manager has been hospitalised after he was injured during an apparent fight with workers from a farm outside Paarl over wages.
According to reports, some of the farm workers were upset about not receiving their wages and, armed with various weapons, they approached the manager, after which a fight broke out. Police then received a complaint about a fight on the Schuurmansfontein road. The police's Frederick van Wyk said: “The farm manager was taken to a nearby hospital before the arrival of the police. The seriousness of the wounds is yet to be confirmed. No arrests have been made. Members are still gathering information.”
