The Citizen reports that Ruth Moshabane, the woman accused of siphoning off about R24 million from MTN over nearly two years, will plead not guilty, her attorney said on Wednesday.
Moshabane, an accountant at the multinational cellular phone company, is alleged to have committed the crimes of fraud and theft between July 2105 and 4 April this year. She appeared in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday to apply for bail. However, due to a full roll, the matter was rolled over to Friday. Moshabane made a brief appearance in court last Thursday. She worked for MTN for more than 13 years.
