EWN reports that officials of South African National Parks (SANParks) say all their nature reserves are fully operational despite an ongoing strike. Some employees downed tools recently over a salary dispute.
While most have accepted an effective 7.1% increase for qualifying employees, the Health & Other Services Personnel Trade Union of SA (Hospersa) has rejected the offer. SANPark's Janine Raftopoulos says guests should not be deterred from planning their trips. “None of our parks have been affected and contingency plans are in place.”
