ANA reports that the SA National Defence Force (SANDF) on Tuesday warned of false advertisements circulating on social media calling for the recruitment of new members for Military Skills Development System.
A statement issued by the Government Communications (GCIS) on behalf of the department of defence indicated: “The SANDF has not issued any advertisement with regard to the recruitment of new members yet.” GCIS said genuine advertisement for 2018 SANDF recruitment would be published in the Sunday newspapers on 21 January 2018 and in a national daily newspaper the next day. It was also pointed out that the SANDF “neither sells application forms nor uses recruitment agencies”.
