ANA reports that a bus driver was critically injured when his bus crashed into the back of a truck on the N1 after the Allandale off-ramp in Midrand on Sunday morning. 

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said that on arrival on the scene shortly after 10am paramedics found the driver lying in the bus in a critical condition.  The man was extricated, treated for his injuries, and provided with advanced life support interventions.  Once treated, he was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.  The driver of the truck was found to have sustained minor injuries.
