Mining Weekly reports that an employee at Harmony Gold's Tshepong mine, in Welkom, died in a fall-of-ground incident on Thursday morning.  

The gold producer has advised that the Department of Mineral Resources has been informed and an investigation into the accident is underway.  Management expressed their deepest condolences to the deceased employee’s family, friends and colleagues.
