goldbarsReuters reports that three trade unions indicated on Wednesday that they had declared a dispute with two of the four gold producers involved in the current wage talks covering the gold mining sectors and would be referring the matter to the CCMA.

Solidarity, the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) and Uasa said their wage talks with Harmony Gold and smaller producer Village Main Reef had hit a deadlock, but that they were still negotiating with AngloGold Ashanti and Sibanye-Stillwater.  The talks are being held on a centralised basis under the auspices of the Minerals Council SA (previously known as the Chamber of Mines).  Negotiations between the three unions and the two producers will continue next week.  The fourth union involved in the talks, the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), had previously on 21 August declared a dispute with all four of the producers.
