Mining Weekly reports that the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Highveld Region is preparing to march against continued retrenchments, outsourcing, use of labour brokers and the increasing unemployment rate in the Mpumalanga province.
The march, to be held on 15 July, will be targeted at state-owned power utility Eskom, as well as diversified miners South32, Seriti Resources, AngloCoal, Exxaro Resources and various mining contractors operating in the province.
