Engineering News reports that the Automotive Manufacturers Employers Association (AMEO) and the National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) last week started wage negotiations in the vehicle assembly sector.
AMEO consists of Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Ford and Isuzu. In 2019, AMEO and Numsa signed a three-year wage agreement in what was the third time that negotiations in the vehicle manufacturing industry were concluded without industrial action.
