angiemotshekgaTMG Digital reports that the Department of Basic Education (DBE) expressed annoyance on Wednesday at Equal Education’s Public Access to Information Act (PAIA) application seeking to have the "Jobs for Cash" report released in full.

"Equal Education is jumping the gun by demonstrating their lack of patience" while minister Angie Motshekga "ensures" that the report "into the selling of education posts … is processed correctly"‚ the department said.  It went on to state:  "The minister has communicated throughout this process of her intentions to make this report public and has even communicated a date on which the report will be made public."  On Tuesday‚ Equal Education said it was launching the PAIA action as "our fear is that the version of the report that will be released to the public on 6 May will be a sanitised one‚ and that the delay in releasing the report of the Ministerial Task Team (MTT) is an effort to keep a lid on smallanyana skeletons".
