Mining Weekly reports that AngloGold Ashanti has suspended activities at its Savuka shaft, following the death of two employees on Saturday.
The employees were injured in a series of seismic events, the largest of which measured 3.5 on the Richter scale. The Department of Mineral Resources was due to start an inspection on Tuesday.
