News24 reports that a young Working on Fire member, Andile Prince Nkosi, drowned in the Sabie River in Mpumalanga, a spokesperson for the organisation said on Thursday.
He died after slipping on rocks and falling at a low waterfall on a farm near Sabie, where his team was based last week. Emergency services were called, but Nkosi did not survive. A post mortem would be conducted to determine the cause of his death and the incident was being investigated.
