Netwerk24 writes that, although delays will get shorter, Cape Town commuters can ready themselves for persistent and frustrating train delays for at least the next six months.
According to a spokeswoman, Metrorail’s train services will continue to be delayed “for as long as it takes to repair the damage”. Numerous instances of vandalism and arson over the past few months in which trains were burnt out and stations damaged have led to daily delays and cancellations of trains.
