houseThe New Age reports that North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo came out guns blazing and lambasted the EFF in the province for instigating the illegal occupation of RDP houses in Marikana.

He said the provincial government had received reports from the police that confirmed that the EFF was behind the occupations.  According to the premier, more than 340 residents have occupied the houses illegally, most of whom were not Marikana residents when the housing project commenced.  He claimed the occupations were politically driven.  Acting EFF provincial secretary Leigh-Ann Mathys said the ANC’s mismanagement of the housing allocation process has the potential to result in another Marikana blood bath.
