News24 reports that a paramedic died and several people were injured in a multiple car pile-up in Midrand, Gauteng, on Sunday.
Netcare 911 indicated that the paramedic was responding to an accident scene when he was struck by another vehicle on the N1 South, near the Allandale Road, at around 05:00. Three cars, a tow truck and an ambulance were involved in the pile-up. The paramedic was found trapped beneath the tow truck and was declared dead at the scene.
