The Star reports that proposed rules outlawing public servants from doing business with the state are on the way.
The draft rules were issued by the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) for public comment, with a deadline of 15 August, and are available on the department’s website at www.dpsa.gov.za. They will prevent all public servants from doing business directly or indirectly with the state, or being a director of a company that does business with the state. No penalties are listed.
