Cape Times reports that train commuters in Cape Town on the Southern line should expect delays or cancellations on Monday after a fire destroyed four train carriages near Retreat station on Sunday.
Metrorail spokesperson Daphne Kayster said it was not yet known how the fire started. She added that Sunday afternoon’s service was not affected, but it would be affected on Monday. An ER24 spokesperson said no one was hurt. A reward of up to R100,000 is payable for information leading to a conviction.
