Mining Weekly reports that an employee was killed in a fall-of-ground incident at Anglo American Platinum’s (Amplats’) Rustenburg East mine on 5 August.
An investigation into the incident is underway. Amplats CEO Chris Griffith on Thursday expressed the company’s sincerest condolences with the deceased’s family, friends and colleagues, whom it was assisting and supporting.
