IOL News reports that labour federation Cosatu has called on President Jacob Zuma to discipline the Mineral Resources Minister, Mosebenzi Zwane.
This comes after Zwane last Friday publicly presented his personal views on the banks no longer allowing the controversial Gupta family's business to bank with them. Cosatu's Sizwe Pamla in a statement on Monday said the Minister had misrepresented the Cabinet. “He said that it (the Cabinet) took a decision to ask the president to consider establishing a judicial inquiry in terms of section 84(2)(f) of the Constitution; with regard to matter between the company (Oakbay) and the banks,” meanwhile it was Zwane himself who supported the inquiry. Pamla said Zwane's “political arrogance and self-exaltation” had not undermined the Cabinet.
