sabcTimesLive reports that the SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) board is considering a proposal that could lead to Hlaudi Motsoeneng making a comeback as broadcaster’s chief operating officer (COO).

A draft resolution sent to board members on Monday, for their approval on a round robin basis, would see a request being made to Communications Minister Faith Muthambi to reappoint Motsoeneng as acting COO.  If approved, the appointment will be tabled at the next board meeting on 28 October 2016 for ratification".  The outcome of the vote on adopting the resolution is not known.  Non-executive board member Krish Naidoo indicated that he had refused to approve it.  The proposed resolution flies in the face of a damning public protector's report and rulings against Motsoeneng by the Cape Town High Court and, this week, by the Supreme Court of Appeal.
