TMG Digital reports that the SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is not saying a word about the salary package that will be paid to its new head of corporate affairs‚ Hlaudi Motsoeneng.
Motsoeneng attended the presentation on Thursday of the broadcaster’s annual results‚ which confirmed a net loss of R411m for the 2015-16 financial year. SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said he could not disclose details about Motsoeneng’s remuneration package. "No‚ we can’t answer that. Salaries of people are an internal labour issue. Even me‚ I don’t know [what he earns]." It was revealed in Parliament last year that Motsoeneng’s salary amounted to R3.7m. Motsoeneng refused to be drawn this week on reports that he was paid a bonus of between R10m and R11m.
